This 4 port Broadband Router is not wireless. Using non wireless means you are not broadcasting your information through the air. You might prefer this option, in that your data is more secure. It has four RJ-45 output ports. You can connect up to 256 computers from this Router using switches. The computers have to be wired to this router using networking cable and RJ-45 connectors otherwise known as patch leads. This 4 port wired Router is not a modem, meaning that the wire bringing your broadband connection into your premesis must first pass through a modem and then into this wired router and then into your computers.

The advantages of this 4 port Router are that it is non wireless, has NAT (Network Address Protocol) and has a built in Firewall to prevent hackers.
